Gary Wetzel, ChFC, CLU, started out as a classroom teacher and transferred his flair for education to the financial industry. A graduate of Penn State and a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, Gary was an insurance specialist for 20 years with The Brinker Organization before returning to Karr Barth Associates.

Gary is a financial professional with Karr Barth Associates. Gary focuses on retirement income planning. His objective is to help create a coordinated retirement plan that balances the need for investment portfolio growth with a predictable, systematic, inflation-adjusted lifetime stream of income. In January of 2007, Gary attended and received the title of Retirement Planning Specialist from AXA Advisors based upon the receipt of a  Wharton Certificate in Retirement Planning. Other areas of focus include estate distribution planning, college savings programs, and insurance (life, disability income, long-term care).

Gary is a member of the Sterling Group. The Sterling Group is a select group of financial professionals affiliated with AXA Advisors, LLC who are distinguished as having exceedingly high standards of experience, expertise and service in the industry.

In addition, Gary is a director of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, a committee member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, and a long-standing member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. A husband and father of two children, he is also an avid golfer.
